-Daughter Catherine Yeast Pevler stated that she understood her father Jacob
Yeast "enlisted first in Frederick Co. MD. for a tour of six months that
at the end of that time he had become fond of that kind of life, and then enlisted
for 5 years or during the war."
His Revolutionary War service was principally as a wagoneer.
Private; 7th Co., 4th Reg't, Maryland Line. Reenlisted Aug 1781 until 1783.

-Per Gwen Yeast, Springfield IL, in a document ebtitled "Family Tree"
and dated 4/2/1993, he served in the Maryland Line -- Pension File #R11934. Earned
bounty land near Ft. Cumberland MD, where they lived a few years before going
south to TN amd Mercer Co. KY. Gwen states that he also served a 6-month enlistment
(under "Yest" during the War of 1812 and was at the Battle of New Orleans.

He was living about 1814 in TN. He Moved to: Mercer Co. KY about 1814.
