240. Jacob WEAREN Sr. was born about 1755 in Augusta Co. VA.⁽¹⁰²⁵⁾ He was living between 1795 and 1799 in Madison Co. KY. ⁽¹⁰²⁶⁾ Earliest appearance in KY on 6-25-1795 Madison Co. tax list as Jacob Wearing. Also as Jacob Warren on 9-4-1797, and as Jacob Wearren 8-19-1804 with 2 males 16-21 at home, and Michael being listed separately. He was living between 1799 and 1804 in Lincoln Co. KY.⁽¹⁰²⁷⁾ He Moved to: Garrard Co. KY in 1804.⁽¹⁰²⁸⁾ He died in 1817 in Garrard Co. KY.⁽¹⁰²⁹⁾ He was buried in Liberty (Buckeye) Baptist Church Cem., Garrard Co. KY. Also spelled it Waren. Children were:

i. Hannah WEAREN was born about 1777 in Greenbrier VA. ⁽¹⁰³⁰⁾ She died between 1850 and 1869 in Garrard Co. KY. ⁽¹⁰³¹⁾
ii. Michael WEAREN was born about 1779 in Greenbrier VA. ⁽¹⁰³²⁾ He died about 1837 in Garrard Co. KY. ⁽¹⁰³³⁾
iii. William WEAREN was born about 1783 in Greenbrier VA. ⁽¹⁰³⁴⁾ He died after 1860 in Garrard Co. KY. ⁽¹⁰³⁵⁾ Probable.

v. Thomas WEAREN⁽¹⁰³⁶⁾ was born about 1792 in VA.⁽¹⁰³⁷⁾ Place probable - father not in KY until ca 1795 (Madison Co. KY tax list). He died between 1850 and 1860 in Garrard Co. KY.⁽¹⁰³⁸⁾ Thomas on Garrard Co. tax lists fm 1814-1837, again in 1844. In 1830 census he appears af Thomas Warin, having 1M & 1F under 5, & 1M & 1F age 5 to 10 in house, apparently children by Rebecca. 1M & 3F ages 10 to 15 also shown, seemingly children from a previous marriage. Not in 1840 census; in 1850 as Thomas Warren, age 58, with Rebecca, Gelitha and Elizabeth. Also shown in household was John Warren Jr., age 29, with wife Mary and 3 children. (Glen suspects an error in census, that this was Thomas Warren Jr. from Thomas Sr's first marriage.

In 1860 Rebecca is shown as head of household with Galitha and Elizabeth resident. None of these found in 1870 census.

vii. Jacob WEAREN Jr.⁽¹⁰⁴⁰⁾ was born about 1795 in Madison Co. KY.⁽¹⁰⁴¹⁾ He died after 1860. Jacob Jr., according to census records, had 2 sons and 1 dau. born 1817-20, 2 dau. 1820-25, 2 sons and 1 dau. 1825-30, 1 son and 2 dau. 1835-40.
viii. Drury WEAREN⁽¹⁰⁴²⁾ was born on Feb 21 1799 in Halls Gap, Lincoln Co. KY.⁽¹⁰⁴³⁾ He died on Mar 14 1879 in Lincoln Co. KY. ⁽¹⁰⁴⁴⁾ He known as Drewry, Drewrey. He was buried in Buffalo Springs Cemetery, Stanford KY. Drewry and Angeliner sold 5 acres to John Owsley on 5-31-1861.
1870 census: 4000 real estate, 1260 personal property.

Drury is the ancestor of George Wearen of Harrodsburg KY per Glendon Warren.
