110. Jesse KINSEY ⁽⁶⁶²⁾⁽⁶⁶³⁾ was born in 1780 in PA. He resided at Mercer Co. KY on Nov 20 1807.⁽⁶⁶⁴⁾ Indenture of 150 acres on Chaplins Fork for 20 pounds. He Member Bethel Baptist Church on Sep 26 1850.⁽⁶⁶⁵⁾ He executed a will on Feb 6 1856 in Washington Co. KY.⁽⁶⁶⁶⁾ He died on Feb 17 1856 in Washington Co. KY.⁽⁶⁶⁷⁾ Left a will. He had an estate probated in 1857 in Washington Co. KY.⁽⁶⁶⁸⁾ Will is on file in Washington Co. KY Will Bk J, p.623. See: Jesse Kinsey's Devisees v. Jesse Kinsey's Heirs, Sept Term 1857, Sept 17th, Washington Circuit Court (appeal fm Washington County Court). He was a Farmer. He was buried in Bethel Baptist Church Cemetery, Mercer Co. KY.⁽⁶⁶⁹⁾ He was initially buried on the farm, but the grave was in bad repair, so some descendants from IN had him reburied at Bethel Baptist. According to a story Jesse told his son Josiah years later, the Kinsey family was Quaker and went to Canada when the Revolutionary War began in order to avoid the conflict. While in his teens, Jesse decided to return to the States, so he walked to Kentucky with only a rifle and an extra pair of linen britches, arriving in 1796.

Jesse bought 15 acres on Nov 20, 1807 from Samuel Short on Chaplin's Fork.

Jesse built a home on the Chaplin River in Washington Co. KY. He had two wives and 14 children, two girls being born after he was 70. He owned over 800 acres and had one slave Caroline, a houseservant. He had the first weatherboard house around, a 2-story mansion. The house was situated in a beautiful location, near a large horseshoe bend of the Chaplin River across the river from a big bluff. The house was in the center of the horseshoe. He was married to Maregarita "Peggy" SORTORE on Dec 19 1803 in Mercer Co. KY.⁽⁶⁷⁰⁾ Bondsman was Henry Banta.

111. Maregarita "Peggy" SORTORE was born in 1775.⁽⁶⁷¹⁾ She was baptized on Apr 14 1776 in Harlingen NJ.⁽⁶⁷²⁾ Harlingen Dutch Reformed Church She died in Sep 1840 in Washington Co. KY.⁽⁶⁷³⁾ Or Sartore. Children were:

ii. Mary "Polly" KINSEY was born in 1815.⁽⁶⁷⁴⁾
iii. Priscilla KINSEY⁽⁶⁷⁵⁾. Never married.
iv. Dianah "Dinah" KINSEY was born in 1810 in Mercer Co. KY.⁽⁶⁷⁶⁾ She died before 1856.⁽⁶⁷⁷⁾
v. Susanna KINSEY was born on Apr 8 1819 in KY.⁽⁶⁷⁸⁾ She died on Dec 17 1903.⁽⁶⁷⁹⁾ She was buried in Willisburg Cemetery, Washington Co. KY.
