40. Wilson Tellison ROSS⁽²⁵⁹⁾⁽²⁶⁰⁾ died about 1844/45. -Per the Washington Co. KY Bicentennial Book: "[T]he early Ross ancestors of Kentucky settled at Dembo [Denbo] near Glen's Creek [NE Washington Co.] in the mid-1800s. They came from Greenville SC to KY. They are believed to be Scot-Irish." Although this is not consistent with the 1900 Washington Co. census, showing Wilson Tellison Ross and his wife, Anna Kidd, to have been born in "VA" (itself in doubt) and having children in KY as early as 1825, the census is in apparent error in listing Wm Tellison Ross's son William Ross as "Sr." and William's grandson, William Thomas Ross, as "Jr." This is perhaps understandable since both are believed to have been named "William Thomas Ross." He was married to Arrena "Anna" KIDD on Sep 23 1824 in Madison Co. KY.⁽²⁶¹⁾⁽²⁶²⁾⁽²⁶³⁾ According to Gerald Tudor, the bondsman was John Tudor (probably the father of Mary who md Gabriel Ross, but possibly his son John Hooker Tudor, whose son Mark married Phatima Kidd). A Nicholas Schooler gave consent, but no relationship was given.

The other Tillison Ross md Martha "Patsy" McMillin in Garrard County, her home. The 1850 Madison Co. census gives Tillison'e name as Filmore and his wife as Marrtha with the same children as in the 1860 census. They have a son, Gabriel ...

41. Arrena "Anna" KIDD was born about 1806 in VA.⁽²⁶⁴⁾⁽²⁶⁵⁾ She executed a will on Aug 16 1854 in Washington Co. KY.⁽²⁶⁶⁾ Filed Sep 18, 1854. Children were:

20 i. William Thomas (?) "Doc" ROSS.
ii. James ROSS was born about 1826 in KY. Not proved as to date of birth or marriage (Wash. Co. 1850 census,
line 638). He died before 1870.⁽²⁶⁷⁾ Apparently, at least Eliza is alone with the children in the 1870 Wash. Co. KY census.
iii. Elizabeth ROSS was born about 1829 in KY.⁽²⁶⁸⁾
iv. Fatima Jane ROSS was born about 1831 in KY.⁽²⁶⁹⁾ She was born about 1831 in KY.⁽²⁷⁰⁾
v. Francis M. ROSS was born about 1833 in KY.⁽²⁷¹⁾ He served in the military Civil War in Union Cavalry. Pvt., Co. D, 11th Kentucky Cavalry (Capt. W.H. Bell).
vi. Nancy Lyda ROSS was born about 1834 in KY.⁽²⁷²⁾ -Bequeathed "six shillings and no more" by her mother's will (Aug 16, 1854).
vii. Joseph Mitchell ROSS was born about 1834 in KY.⁽²⁷³⁾
viii. Richard Thomas ROSS was born about 1838 in KY.⁽²⁷⁴⁾ He was born about 1838 in KY.⁽²⁷⁵⁾
ix. Mary Ann ROSS was born about 1840 in Washington Co. KY.⁽²⁷⁶⁾ She was born about 1840 in Washington Co. KY.⁽²⁷⁷⁾ She died before Aug 1854. Her children, not she, appears to be provided for in her mother's
will. She died before Aug 1854.
x. Mountford ROSS was born about 1843 in KY.⁽²⁷⁸⁾⁽²⁷⁹⁾ He was born about 1843 in KY.⁽²⁷⁸⁾⁽²⁸⁰⁾
