He died between 8 Aug 1646 and 8 Oct 1646 in Braintree, Norfolk (Quincy) Co., MA.(107) (108) He was a farmer and maltster. He was married to Edith Squire on 19 Oct 1609 in Charlton, Mackrel, Somerset, England. They came to Massachusetts Bay in 1638 with eight sons. Of these:
one returned to England; four moved to Medfield; two are said to
have moved to Chelmsford; and only Joseph (great grandfather of John
Adams) stayed in Braintree.

7617. Edith Squire (105) was born on 29 May 1587 in Charlton, Mackrel, Somerset, England. She died on 21 Jan 1672 in Barton St. David, Somerset, England.(109) Children were:

child i. Joseph Adams Sn.(105) was born on 9 Feb 1626 in Kingsweston, Somerset, England. He died on 8 Dec 1694 in Braintree, Norfolk (Quincy) Co., MA. The seventh son of Henry Adams, he inherited his fathers property and
trade.
He served from time to time as selectman, constable, and surveyor of
highways.
