256. James H. Adams was born in Jun 1712 in Simsbury, Hartford Co., CT. He died on 22 May 1787 in Tinmouth, Rutland Co., VT. He was a bloomer (blacksmith) by trade. He was married to Sarah Callender on 8 Dec 1735 in Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA. The year of the marriage may actually have been 1736. She was a
daughter of Philip and Mary Eaton Callender of Sheffield, MA.

257. Sarah Callender was born in 1716 in Newport, Newport Co., RI. She died on 20 Aug 1785 in Tinmouth, Rutland Co., VT. They resided in Sheffield, Mass., Canaan, CT., Stillwater, NY, and
Tinmouth, VT. James and Sarah had six children (not including
Mortimer who died at birth) of which their were four sons and two
daughters. Children were:

vi. Sarah Adams was born. Place and date unknown.
vii. Polly Adams was born. Place and date unknown.
viii. Martin Adams was born on 23 Jan 1738 in Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA. ⁽⁴²⁾ He died on 23 Jan 1738 in Sheffield, Berkshire Co., MA.
