391. Charles Marhall Heflin Jr.(1) was born on 23 Jan 1918 in Lucketts, Loudoun, Virginia. He died on 9 Jul 1978 in Bladensburg, Prince William, MD. Obituary-The Washington Post
Charles M. Heflin, Jr.,60, an accounting offical with the Navy Department who retired
last January wiith 37 years of service, died of cancer Sunday at Washington Adventist
Hospital.
Mr. Heflin was born in Lucketts, VA and grew up there and in Poolesville, MD, where
he graduated from high school. He began working at the Navy Department in 1941.
He also earned bachelor's and master's degrees in business and accounting from
Columbus University.
He served in the Army in Europe for two years during World War II and then returned
to the Navy Department. At his retirement, he was director of the fiinancial services
division of the naval engineering command.
Mr. Heflin was a Mason.
Survivors include his wife, Evelyn of the home in Hyattsville; a son, Charles M. III, of
Oxon Hill; two daughters, Barbara Voelker, of New York City, and Stephanie Heflin of
Parkland, MD; four sisters, Helen Grimm, of Arlington, Cora Kohlhoss and Mae Holcomb,
both of Leesburg, VA, and Helen Magaha, of Frederick, MD; five brothers, James W. and
Thomas E., both of Lovettsville, VA, Walter B., of Huntsville, Ala., John A. of Alexandria,
and William C., of Leesburg, and two grandchildren.

He was married to Elizabeth Rust about 1937. Charles Marhall Heflin Jr. and Elizabeth Rust had the following children:

He was married to Florence about 1963. Charles Marhall Heflin Jr. and Florence had the following children:
