Education: High School Graduate of Wayne High School in 1959. Attended Marshall College in 1960.
Served in the US Army Feb 21, 1961 through Feb 20, 1964. Honorable discharge as a PFC. Basic training at Ft.. Knoxs, Ky., AIT @ Ft Hood, Texas, as an Infantry soldier, finished my enlistment at Ft. Myers, Va., and Ft. Leslie J. McNair, Washington, DC. Worked at Ft. Myers in Honer Guard Company called Casions. The Horse Platoon commonly called. My job was rear brakeman. In our outfit we were in full honer funerals at Arlington Cemetery. Pick up person at Chapel and take them to the Cemetery. Usually 3 to 4 a day. Transferred to Headquarters and Headquarters at Ft. Leslie J. McNair last few months of my tenure. On April 1, 1964 i went to work for the State Road Commision of WV on a Survey Party and retired July 1, 1996 working as a Survey Party Chief.
In Oct. 18, 1964 I married Florence Marcum (d/o Winfield and Elsie Napier Marcum). In 1972 we were divorced. (She shortly remarried)
In September 1965 i made a confession of Faith in Jesus Christ and was baptised . Shortly after (about one year or less) i was elected clerk of the Church at The Philadelphia United Baptist Church at Lavalette, WV for 17 years. In the 1st Sunday in September 1966 i was elected Clerk of The Old Bethlehem Association of Untied Baptist Churches for twenty years. In 1987 i was Ordained as a Minister in Old Bethlehem Association. Served as clerk in Calvary Association for 4 years. I have pastored several Churches in these Associations and am currently pastor at Mt Olive Church at Clifford, Ky. and Prichard Church at Prichard, WV as of 1998.

I have helped organize Calvary Association and Mt Sion Association.
