!"Prominent Men of Utah" William Broadhead came to Utah 12 Sep 1883

WILLIAM BROADHEAD--was born 28 Jun 1806 at Coventy, Warwickshire, England the son of Robert and Judith Daken Broadhead. He was a ribbon weaver by trade. His son David said, "He was early impressed with religious ideas and attached himself to the Methodists ...He zealously advocated their doctrine for several years. In the winter of 1844 an Elder of the LDS came into the town ... he was baptized Doc 1844." and became a zealous worker in the Church. He was presiding Elder of the Branch in Coventry.
William and his wife, Sarah, and three children, Elizabeth, Robert and Jabez, came to America on the sailing ship "Ellen Maria". They crossed the plains with the Miller and Cooley Co. They arrived in Salt Lake City 9 Sep 1853 -- age 47. They first moved to Willard Box Elder Co. At the time of Johnston's army coming in 1857, they moved to Nephi where they stayed and made their home.
He was married to Sarah GOLDING on 20 May 1827 in St Michael's, Coventry, Warwick, Eng. He was sealed to spouse on 24 Oct 1955 in the Endowment House.

61. Sarah GOLDING was born on 20 Jun 1800 in Coventry, Warwick, Eng. She was christened on 10 Jul 1800 in St Michael's, Coventry, Warwick, Eng. She was baptized into the LDS church on 6 Jan 1845. She was endowed on 24 Oct 1855 in the Endowment House. She died on 22 Oct 1868 in Nephi, Juab, Ut. She was sealed to parents on 27 Nov 1972. She was buried in City Cem, Nephi. FHC AF 25 Jun 1991

SARAH GOLDING BROADHEAD --born 20 June 1800 at Coventry, Warwickshire, England 1836 to Thomas and Elizabeth Enoch Golding. She was baptized 6 Jan 1845. She and her husband, William Broadhead, had eight children, but they lost four of the children at a young age. Three of them were 2 years old, and the other only at the age of 6 months. They came to Utah Sep 1853. She Was 53 years old. Most of her family settled in Nephi where she died 22 Oct 1868. Children were:

He was baptized into the LDS church on 12 Oct 1845. He was endowed on 1 Nov 1855. He was sealed to parents on 4 Feb 1885 in the St. George, Utah LDS temple.
