I just recently started looking into my ancestry. Some of the surnames in my family are: Anderson, White, Melendy, Love, Frazier, Spade, Marriner, Page. My aunt Georgia published a book called "The Melendy Family in America 1701-1981". If anyone wants me to look up a name in this book, just e-mail me. There are very few books out there, so I can't sent it to anyone. I just recently found information about the Marriners and the Loves by using my FTM CD's, Internet Family Finder and the message boards at Geneology Forum. It's so exciting. It's like trying to solve a mystery. I admit it folks, I am hooked. I will be uploading my Gedcom file, so some of you may find a link to my family. However, as I find out more, I will be updating the file. Happy hunting everyone.

  • Eva Marriner (9 KB)
Eva was my great grandmother. She was born near London, England about 1868. She came to the US. around 1880 and finally came to live in Shickley, Nebraska. In 1887 she first married Clarence Lemmon. They had 3 children, George, Grace, & Cecile. Eva married her neighbor, William Spade, after Clarence's death. They lived mostly in Lincoln Nebraska. I have not been able to find any information for him. He was born in Pennsylvania and that is all I know. Eva's 3rd husband was Ben Clarke whom she met when she lived in San Francisco. She died around 1932 in San Rafael, Calif.
  • Emma Page (43 KB)
This is Eva Marriner's mother, Emma Page, who apparently was not married to her father, Richard Marriner. My family always thought they were married, however, records show that Richard was married to Emma's sister, Elizabeth.I am trying to solve this mystery regarding Eva's parentage. Emma was born in Down Ampney, England. Her father's name was John Page and her mother was Mary Ann Fisher.
  • Eva and William Spade (6 KB)
This is Eva Marriner who married William Spade. After living in Lincoln, Nebraska, they moved to Escalon, California. They had 4 children, Bill, Harry, Flossie and Winnie. Flossie was my grandmother. All are gone now.
