As result of family members' requests, this site represents the "beginnings" of transposing my father's genealogical research to the WorldWideWeb.
Our family settled in North Texas around 1867 in the "larger" Delta county of that time. Lake Creek, Cooper, Mount Joy are among the family homes outside of those who chose to live in Paris, the county seat.
With much of the Thomas Crawley Anderson clan moving from Missouri, (resulting from the "Clash between the States"), the Anderson move brought a family to Texas that numbered more than two dozen new Texans.
Hershel Weldon Anderson spent the better part of twenty years of his avocation time to accumulate in hard bound volumes the "details" of his many letters and phone calls around the country to document the progression of our family westward to Texas.
Listed on this site now is a portion of the data available that I have been able translate to the "electronic" version using the Family Tree Maker software.
It is my hope that we can make available in documentary form the "fun" part of our family's history. Many photographs, handwritten letters, pages from family Bibles, county records, etc., makes our history "very" documentable.
Hopefully, with some work, we can create together a record that will continue to grow as each of us has time to contribute from the knowledge we may have at hand.
