[All of the children of John Ashbaugh and Dorothy Whitling were probably born in Clarion County, Richland Township, as that is where John and Dorothy lived all their lives according to the Whitling family tree. Daniel Ashbaugh and Amanda Alsbach, after the birth of their first two children, twins, moved in 1873 to Pilgreheim to Amanda's stepmother's house. Miller Harding, pastor of the M.E. church at St. Petersburg, PA, of which the deceased was a member for many years. He was assisted by Rev. Howard of Lamartine.
