Thus, he was born between March 29, 1792 and March 28, 1793. He may not have been the father of Sophie McLaughlin, but he is the only male McLaughlin buried in St. Mary's Cemetery in Crown, PA, old enough to be Sophie's father. Sophie was born in 1825, so this Michael would have been about 32 years old at the time. He died on Mar 28 1899.⁽⁴⁹⁷⁾ Date of death is on his tombstone. Michael and Elizabeth McLaughlin were husband and wife, according to their tombstones, but there is no indication thereon or anywhere in the cemetery of who their children may have been.

123. Elizabeth UNKNOWN was born about Mar 11 1801.⁽⁴⁹⁷⁾ Elizabeth McLaughlin, wife of Michael McLaughlin, died March 11, 1881, aged 80 years, according to her tombstone. Thus, she was born between March 12, 1880, and March 11, 1881 She died on Mar 11 1881. ⁽⁴⁹⁷⁾ Date of death is on her tombstone. Children were:

i. William MCLAUGHLIN⁽⁴⁹⁸⁾. There is a William McLaughlin who was a godparent of Park Dalton.

[Do not know anything else about them. May be a relation, other than a brother, of Sophie McLaughlin]

There is a William McLaughlin buried in Crown, PA, born 1846 and died 1918. There is also a William J. McLaughlin buried in Crown, PA, born 1884 and died 1970, who was married to Catherine A. (1881-1977).
ii. Mary MCLAUGHLIN⁽¹⁶⁸⁾. Mary McLaughlin was godparent of George Dalton. [Mary may have been a sister of Sophia. And, she may have been someone else, e.g., wife of William.]

There is a Mary McLaughlin (1851-1936) buried in the cemetery in Crown, PA.
