I’m looking for information on any ancestors or living relatives, and will gladly share information I have on any of these lines. I will also swap GEDCOM files or FTM files with any e-Cousins.

Grandparents: Jesse James Ashberry of Center, TX (1889-1975), m: Lois Roxie Doyle (1891-1980). I’m looking for any descendants of his sisters: Mattie Mabel Ashberry Crone, Bertie Joice Ashberry Hitz.

Great-Grandparents: Joseph Bolivar Ashberry of Winnsboro, Wood Co., TX (1861-1931), m: Emaline Thomas Sypert of Harrison Co., TX (1867-1939), half-sister of Julie Franklin. I’m looking for any descendants of the above or of my Great-Grandfather’s siblings: George W. Ashberry, John A. Ashberry, James Rufus Ashberry, Mary Annie Ashberry Echols Messimer, Steven Oliver Ashberry, Martha Ellen Ashberry Avery.

2nd Great-Grandparents: Joseph Ashberry of DeKalb Co., Alabama , Wood Co., TX, and Farmersville, TX (1833-1886), m: Martha A. Nickless of Alabama (1833-1896). He had half-brothers & sisters named Bill, Jim, Jane Little, and Elizabeth Langford. He was living with John and Mary Franklin (possibly his maternal grandparents) in DeKalb County, Alabama, in 1850, as a 17-year-old farmer. Joseph's father was from Virginia, his mother from Kentucky; Martha's father was from Alabama, her mother from Kentucky.

3rd Great-Grandparents: Possibly William Ashberry and Polly Franklin who once lived in Jackson Co., Alabama, suspected, not proven.

Lines I am currently researching are: Ashberry/Asberry/Ashby, Nickless/Nichols/Nicholas, Sypert/Cypert, Landingham, Langford/Lankford, Little/Lytle, and the Franklin connection. My grandfather, Jesse James Ashberry, met a cousin named Greene Ashby from Louisiana before 1975. She said her family was formerly named Ashberry until they changed their surname. In the Shady Grove Cemetery in Wood Co., TX, Ashberrys and Ashbys are buried side by side and said to be all the same bloodline.
