About Our Family Research

I began my family research with the help of a friend. She taught me how to search US Census Records at the National Archive in WA State. I really did not think I could learn all the details of how to search but I quickly caught on.
Here is the work I have done and what has been given to me via the Internet by distant cousins. I love to communicate with them and get to know more about my family roots.

My husband's father's family the Austin's I have traced to Colorado/NE/Illinois/PA. The Bosworth/Kennedy line KS/NE and am currently looking in Ohio for more then on to PA.

My husband's Mother's family the Carlson/Clason's came from Sweden to Chicago, Ill. where they became citizens of the USA then moved on to Denver, Colorado. And the Griffiths came from Wales/UK. to MA and on to Denver, Colorado.

My father's family The Moore/Harden's came from SC to Mississippi in the 1800's. His mother I have traced to an American Revolution Veteran.

My mother's family the Forrest/Durocher's came from Quebec Canada (1800's) to MI then to WA. & one line I was given by a "cousin" goes to MO in 1788. Her mother's line the Jarvis/Thibert's also came from Montreal area in Quebec Canada into WI and on to WA. I now have the Thibert's to France.

That is all I have done for now and I keep searching. I have Census Records, Marriage Records, Birth & Death dates/records in many cases and Obituaries and other information such as War Veteran numbers & Invalid/Pension Records.
I hope we can find ancesters that overlap and exchange information.
I hope you enjoy looking over my family tree.
