Annie Kennedy was born in Omaha, NE, but raised in Bates Hole, WY, near Casper, Wyoming. She was a twin to a sister Fannie who died when she was about 7 years old. Fannie is buried with her grandparents in a Pioneer cemetery in Wyoming.
Annie's parents settled in the Bates hole area with land grants. James built the homestead and outbuildings shared with Seymour Leach, which still stand today.
