About Our Family Research

My Grandfather came to this country from Roscommon/Ireland somewhere between 1889-1894. His citizenship papers say he was made a citizen in 1894.In Allegheny County, or Pittsburgh. When he came from Ireland his name was spelled Clyne, but when he applied for insurance the insurance man spelled it Cline. He lived in Duquesne, Pa and worked in Bethleham Steel Company the Steel Mill. He married my Grandmother, Anna Flatherty ,in this period. She came from 1st, the Aran Isles, then moved to Clifton then she moved to Gallway and that is where she came to America from, I think. She worked for the Childs Restaurant, and then moved to Squirll Hill as an indentered servant.

My Uncle Edward was born, I believe in 1897,, My grandmother's sister was coming to help with my uncle and was killed by a train in McKeesport in 1897. My father was born in 1902 Francis Joesph Cline. I believe his brother Walter was born before him.
