14. Thomas Edward BANDY
(photo) was born on 3 Jun 1954 in Madison, WI.
He was adopted in 1957 in Madison, WI.
[Peter - father]
Tom is JoAnne's son by a previous marriage. After JoAnne and I were married
the first order of business was to adopt Tom and have his name changed to Tom
Bandy. It was important to me.
[Pete - father]
Tom is a biker, but don't let the tattoos, leathers, Harley and other trappings
fool you. Behind the facade is a soft hearted, generous and loving man, a "parents
choice" youth football and baseball coach, and a better father than the
I was for him.
[JoAnne - mother]
One of the many things Tom has learned to do is to lose gracefully. That is a
great life lesson that he role-models to his sons, to the players on the teams
he coaches, to their opponents, and to other parents.
He was married to Debra
BATZEL on 10 Jan 1981 in Nashua, Iowa. Tom and Deb were married in the "Little
Brown Church In The Vale" of which the popular hymn was written.
Debra BATZEL (photo) was born on 5 Sep
1956.
[Pete - father-in-law]
I am delighted that Debby is a member of the Bandy family. In the initial years
of their marriage, Tom and Debby had many challenges. I believe that Debby has
provided the stabilizing strength that not only sustained their marriage, but
has allowed each member of their family to grow into the strong individuals they
are today.
Thomas Edward BANDY and Debra BATZEL had the following children:
+29 i.
Jesse Thomas BANDY.
30 ii.
John David BANDY (photo) was born on 3 Nov
1981 in Rochester, MN.
