2. Henry Dwight BURGHARDT (photo) was born about 1878 in Curtisville, MA.

The following was extracted from Pasadina newspaper orbituary: As a small boy he played in and around his fathers foundry and machine shop. Following his graduation from Stockbridge High School (MA) he served as a machinist's apprentice at Pratt and Whitney, Pope Manufacturing, and Stanley Mfg. Co. which later became General Electric. He served as an instructor at the Pratt Institute of Brooklyn teaching machime shop practice, and taught at Lehigh University. When Dickerson High School in Jersey City, New Jersey inaugrated a new program in technical education he was appointed head of the machine shop program. During World War I he assisted the government and was cited by Secretary of War Newton D. Baker for the work he did in preparing its Manual for Machinests. In 1919, he wrote a two volume text book titled Machine Tool Operation. This text was widely used for both high school and college courses for over fifty years. He died on 10 Jul 1950 in Pasadena, CA. He was married to Helen R SCUDDER about 1904.

3. Helen R SCUDDER (photo) was born in 1886 or 1879 in Dalton, MA. Children were:
