Information on Lemon was found in the Bastrop Library, Bastrop, Texas. History of the Wilbarger Cemetery (AKA - Lemon Barker Cemetery) is found in the "Bastrop County Cemeteries" Vol. 5 in the library. Summary of history is as follows:

Josiah Pugh Wilbarger is the son-in-law of Lemon Barker. Lemon was the son of John Calvin and Martha Barker. Brothers and sisters of Lemon were John, Wilson, Jesse, Billie, Betsy, and Keziah. Lemon came to Texas in 1827 with his wife Sarah Forehand, his mother Martha, and his only daughter Margaret. Margaret married Josiah Wilbarger and had 5 sons and 2 daughters. All their sons were Texas Rangers, but one, Webb. Lemon and Josiah were killed by Indians.
