933. Raymond "Skig" SCOTT Jr. was born on 2 Feb 1937 in Belpre, Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio. 1978 Newpaper Headlines: Kidnapping, Burglary Suspect Held. An area man was returned to Zanesville Wednesday from Iowa, where he was arrested on charges of aggravated burglary and kidnapping following his alleged abduction Sept. 1 of his former wife and two children. According to Lt. William Clark of Zanesville Police Department, Raymond H. Scott, 41, of 1690 Licking Road, is charged with forcibly entering his former wife's apartment and taking her and the children on the cross-country trip. Clark said Scott's ex-wife, Daniela Joyce Scott of Fess St., passed a note to a waitress in a Springfield restaurant which stated she had been kidnapped. She and her children were freed when Iowa law enforcement officials arrested her former husband in Tipton.

January 12, 1979: Man Admits Abduction. A Licking Road man pleaded guilty Thursday in Muskingum County Common Pleas Court to charges of abduction and burglary. Scott was sentences by Judge J. Lincoln Knapp to two to 15 years on the burglary charge and one to 10 years for the abduction charge. Both sentences are to run concurrent and will be served in the Ohio Penitentiary.
