122. James L. "Jim" BARNETT was born on 3 Mar 1885 in Barnett Ridge, Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio. He died on 5 Dec 1966 in Vincent, Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio. Jim was pronounced dead of self-inflicted wounds shortly after 3 p.m. on a Monday by Dr. Kenneth Owen, Washington County, Ohio coroner. Sheriff's report said that Joe Barnett, Fleming Rt.1, a brother of the victim, found the body shortly after 2 p.m. and summoned the Sheriff. Deputies said that Jim had used a yardstick to trigger a 12 gauge shotgun blast into his chest. He was buried in Barnett Ridge, Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio in the Barnett Ridge Cemetery. He received undertaking services from Doudna & McClure Funeral Home 314 Fourth Street Marietta, Ohio.

He was married to Mary Mozelle "Mayme" DICKINSON (daughter of William Henry DICKINSON and Lucy Jane VAUGHN) on 26 Nov 1906 in Washington County, Ohio. Mary Mozelle "Mayme" DICKINSON was born on 18 Aug 1888 in Cutler, Fairfield Township, Washington County, Ohio. She died on 5 May 1964 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia at the Camden Clark Hospital. She was buried on 8 May 1964 in Barnett Ridge, Barlow Township, Washington County, Ohio in the Barnett Ridge Cemetery. James L.
