5. George W. "Samual" GOINS was born about 1795. He died on 23 May 1848 in Collins Cemetery, Shelby, Ohio. The 1816 tax rolls of Mononagalia County, Virginia expanded by include Joel Goens (sic), William Cook, Willmore Cook, Hesekiah Cook, and Jaccent Goens (sic), while retaining the Daltons, Males, Hills, and Parsons. They all were included in Charles Byrn's district under the title of " free Negro 16 and upward ". George Goens (sic) name appeared in the Isaac Cooper's district list for 1818 along with Jacob Goens (sic).

George W. Goings registered in 1831 in Guernsey County, Ohio, as "a son of Jason Goings, a bright mulatto, born free as appears by his former register in the office of the County Court of Jefferson." The document was previously registered in Jefferson County, Virginia, in 1824.

He was married to Mary Ann "Margaret" COLLINS on 25 Apr 1842 in Shelby County, Ohio. Services performed by Moses E Baker. George W. "Samual" GOINS and Mary Ann "Margaret" COLLINS had the following children:
