62. Reverend Abraham Clinton
"Clint" MAYLE
was born in
1866 in Bartlett, Washington County, Ohio. He died on 16 Feb 1938 in Parkersburg,
Wood County, West Virginia. He was educated. As a young man he showed a great
interest for formal education. After completing his educational training, which
included "normal school," he accepted a teaching position at a small
place called Cuba, which was in Jackson County, West Virginia. At about the time
of his marrage he was call to the ministry, and he still continued to teach.
His position as a teacher was terminated when the school was closed because of
declinied enrollment. So the enterprising Clinton moved with his family to Washington
County, Ohio to find employment and to provide his children an education. He
brought with him his mother and father Mary Ann and Adam. He was married to
Aerie "Airy" Jane ADAMS (daughter of John ADAMS
and Nancy PRITCHARD) on 5 May 1888 in Jackson County, West
Virginia. Aerie "Airy" Jane ADAMS
was born on
30 Apr 1867 in Barbour County, West Virginia. She died on 22 May 1922 in Belpre,
Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio. She was educated. She taught school
and was a constant supporter of education. Reverend Abraham Clinton "Clint"
MAYLE and Aerie "Airy" Jane ADAMS had the following children:

Holly MAYLE was born on 2 May 1891 in Ravenswood, Jackson County, West Virginia.
He died on 21 Jul 1969 in Good Samaritan Hospital, Zanesville, Muskingum County,
Ohio. He was buried in Rockland, Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio in
the Rockland Cemetery.
