He was buried on 22 Aug 1977 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio in the Woodlawn Cemetery. He was an employee for Ohio Ferro Alloys in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio.

He was married to Mildred Emma ADAMS (daughter of Alonzo Theodore ADAMS and Laura MAYLE) on 31 Aug 1929. Mildred Emma ADAMS was born about 1907. She died on 21 Nov 2000 in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio. Philip Arthur DALTON Sr. and Mildred Emma ADAMS had the following children:

1721 i. Norma Mae DALTON was born on 30 Jul 1930. She died on 17 Feb 1968 in Cleveland, Ohio at the St. Vincent Hospital. She was buried in Zanesville, Muskingum County, Ohio in the Woodlawn Cemetery. Miss Dalton was a graduate of The Ohio State University and for 17 years was employed as supervisor in the accounting and finance department of the Defense Construction Supply Center at Columbus, Ohio.
