3227. Rufus O. ADAMS was born about 1911. He died on 10 Jan 1952 in Canton, Stark County, Ohio. Lloyd R. Cornelius, 41, of 1717 14th Street SW Canton, Ohio was exonerated by Coroner E. C. Reno in connection with the death of Rufus O. Adams. Police learned the two men argued and later were involved in a scuffle over the use of a driveway at the Adams' residence. Mr. Adams voiced his objection and allegedly struck Mr. Cornelius in the face during the scuffle. Mr. Adams later went to the kitchen of his home and suffered the fatal heart attack there. He was buried in Athens County, Ohio, in the Mount Herman Cemetery. He belonged to the Methodist Church.
