She was buried on 18 Jan 1987 in Morgan County, Ohio in the Malta Cemetery. Mertie was a retired practical nurse and a member of the Gibson Memorial Apostolic Church in Malta. She was a member of the Morgan County Council on Aging and a Morgan County representative of the Regional Advisory Council on Aging of the Buckeye Hills-Hocking Valley Regional Development District Edwin Harrison ADAMS and Mertie MAYLE had the following children:
