A native of Moatsville, Barbour County, West Virginia, she was the daughter of James and Elizabeth Mayle. She was buried in Athens County, Ohio, in the Mount Herman Cemetery.

She was married to James "Jim" Lewis ADAMS (son of John ADAMS and Nancy PRITCHARD) on 14 Oct 1882 in Jackson County, West Virginia. James "Jim" Lewis ADAMS was born on 28 Aug 1863 in Monogahalia County, West Virginia. He died on 19 Mar 1939 in Malta, Morgan County, Ohio. Born and reared at Cutler, Mr. Adams later located in West Virginia, coming to Malta Township in 1915. He was buried on 22 Mar 1939 in Athens County, Ohio, in the Mount Herman Cemetery.
