She was married to James Williams GRIMES (son of James Lofton GRIMES and Winnie Elizabeth MCGEHEE) in 1940. James Williams GRIMES was born on 17 Feb 1898 in Kelso, Desha County, Arkansas. He died on 2 May 1959 in Charleston, West Virginia. He was buried in Rockland, Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio in the Rockland Cemetery. He was a. In 1940, or very shortly thereafter he and his wife moved to Madison, West Virginia where James assumed the position as principal of Carver High School. They reared five children.
