204. Josiah "Joe" ADAMS was born on 11 Jun 1887 in Decatur Township, Washington County, Ohio. Joe was born four months after his father's death He died on 26 Apr 1955 in Parkersburg, Wood County, West Virginia at the St. Joseph Hospital. He was buried in Rockland, Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio in the Rockland Cemetery. The Rev. George Washington Morse of Zanesville officiated. He received undertaking services from Spencer Funeral Home. He was the founder of the Belpre Ice and Transfer Company.

He was married to Carrie Ellen DALTON (daughter of Albert W, DALTON and Emma L. ARMSTEAD) on 15 Nov 1909 in Point Pleasent, Jackson County, West Virginia. Carrie Ellen DALTON was born on 21 Mar 1887 in Guysville, Rome Township, Athens County, Ohio. She died on 2 Jan 1945 in Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio. She was buried in Rockland, Belpre Township, Washington County, Ohio in the Rockland Cemetery. She belonged to the A. M. E. Church of Belpre. Josiah "Joe" ADAMS and Carrie Ellen DALTON had the following children:
