The Norfield Congregational Church was established in what is now Weston in 1767; the Emmanuel Episcopal Church in the 1840s. And the St Francis of Assisi Roman Catholic Church was built in the Twentieth Century.
However, throughout Weston's history, many residents have attended services beyond its borders, in churches such as these in Georgetown. The tall spire belongs to the Methodist Church located in the town of Wilton. Facing it are the Sacred Heart church and rectory, just across the street in Redding.
There were many other churches in Wilton and Redding, as well as in Easton, Fairfield, Westport or Norwalk, where Weston residents may have worshipped.
