Research on William P Stewart, born in 1839 in Niles, Ill. He was a vetern of the Civil War, serving with the 29th US Colored Infantry Co. F. William married Elizabeth (Eliza Thornton) in Logansville (Sauk County) Wi, 10/25/1868. Eliza was born in 1848 in Flushing OH. They had one son Vay Stewart born in 6/18/1869 in Baraboo (Sauk county)WI. They all moved to Snohomish County, WA in approx 1889. Vay married Eva (ADA) Johnson. Their children Edith Johnson born 1/11/1904, Charles Johnson 9/4/07 and Maydrew Stewart born 4/5/1918. Maydrew married George Davis born 6/28/1915 in Hearne TX.
