We hope to disseminate Honeychurch family history information through this website, and (at the risk of inciting riot among my own Honychurch relatives) will use the most common spelling for that purpose.
The Honeychurch family originated in Devon, England, on the edge of the Dartmoor not far from Exeter, and is recorded in William the Conquerer's Domesday Book of 1088.
Various spellings: Honeychurch, Honychurch, Hunnychurch, et al.
A few very general (and likely to be inaccurate, to be revised) remarks:
A good deal of the "Honeychurch" family was located in Cornwall during the 18th century, and a few in London.
The Honychurch (no `e') branch resided in Devon, at Tavistock and Aveton Gifford, with emigration to the West Indies, followed by additional emigration to Canada and the USA.
Honeychurch family members are now found all over the globe. If you are a Honeychurch descendant, we'd love to hear from you.
