FIFTH GENERATION

30. John, Jr. BOLGER Photo was born on 3 Mar 1798. He died on 7 Aug 1857. I found a record in Goodspeed's Southern Ark., of 'Dr. J. M. Bolger, a farmer of Magnolia Township;, b. GA 1854, second son of J. W. & Lucy (Garrard) Bolger, also Georgians, who came to Arkansas in 1857, entered land in Columbia Co., on which they resided until 1888, when they moved to the village of Waldo, and engaged in the grocery and confectionary business. "Mr. Bolger served as justice of peace for some time, and during the latter part of the war, served in the Confederate Army. Of the five children born to himself and his wife, J. H. is the oldest, then comes Dr. J. M., Francenia (is the wife of Ed Farrar, of this county), Alexzenia (is the wife of Tom Pullig, of Waldo), and Lena )is the wife of T. Mauldin, a farmer of this county). Dr. Bolger obtained his education by self application and a short attendance at the common schools near his home, and after---. His marriage in 1857, to miss Kate Murphy,---"p.400. They had five children, including John (Still residing there), Mary and "Kate (wife of Dr. Bolger)'----.
Byrnes Trammell had said that his father said Mary Ann Bolger's father was a root and herb Dr. Harold, brother of Byrnes, said he ran across the Garrard name many tims in his search in Waldo.
On 10/18/1986 I talked to both Byrnes and Harold J., who had done extensive research on our David Crockett Trammell line. Harold said that the Bolgers, Trammells and other families, all came together to Ark. from Georgia. He also said he had talked to people who now live on the Trammell place, and thought they might be of the Bolger line. He planned to look up his notes and see if he could make the connection with Mary Ann Bolger, and let me know if he did. After Crockett died, Mary Ann moved to Stamps, AR., Spring Branch, and Mansville, LA, to be near her eldest son, Thomas Jefferson Trammell. He was married to Sarah NOBLES.

31. Sarah NOBLES died prior to June 1860. She was born in Edgefield Co. S.C.. Children were:
