FIRST GENERATION

1. ISABEL DE CLARE died in 1220. dau. of RICHARD DE CLARE, "Strongbow. (66-27). She and her father Richard De Clare are traced in Your Family Tree, through his wife EVA (or Aife) to BAOTH, who received Scythia as his lot upon the division by JAPHET, son of NOAH. (Tom Barton, 3-23-1998.
"Isabel De Clare was in ward to King Henry II and remained under the royal gardianship for the space of fourteen years, when she was given in marriage to William Marshall, who thereuupon became Earl of Pembroke" Yor Family Taree, p.33.

She was married to Marshal William MARSHALL of England (son of John MARSHALL) in Aug 1189. Marshal William MARSHALL of England was born in 1146. He died on 14 May 1219 in bur. in the Temple Church, London. Sir Willliam Marshall 3rd Earl of Pembroke, Marshal of England, Protector, Regent of the Kingdom, 1216-1219. CP X 364, and note a).
