Married on 27 May 1842: Jacob Conrad II, citizen, son of Johannes Conrad, citizen and farmer in Climbach, and his wife Helena neé Magel, age 26 years, 8 months and 23 days, born 24 Aug 1815; and Elisabetha Hilgärtner, daughter of Kaspar Hilgärtner, citizen and farmer, also ____ in Climbach, and his wife Margaretha neé Römer, age 19 years, 11 months and 22 days, born 25 May 1823. Witnesses: (1) Ducal mayor (Großherzogliche Bürgemeister) Johannes Jost Schmidt of Climbach; (2) Friedrich Nein, citizen and farmer, of Climbach.
Added note: Jacob died 5 Mar 1889 and Elisabetha died 16 July 1900.

I believe the marriage record is in error, that Margaretha, the mother of the bride, is neé Stein.

WERRA
The "Werra" was a 4817 gross ton vessel, built in 1882 by John Elder & Co, Glasgow for Norddeutscher Lloyd [North German Lloyd]. Her details were - length 433.1ft x beam 45.9ft, two funnels, four masts, iron construction, single screw and a speed of 16 knots. There was accommodation for 125-1st, 130-2nd and 1,000-3rd class passengers. Launched on 4 July 1882, she sailed from Bremen on her maiden voyage to Southampton and New York on 12 Dec 1882. On 9 Nov 1891 she commenced her last voyage on this service and on 4 Jan 1892 was transferred to the Genoa - New York run. Started her last voyage on this service on 10 Nov 1898 and was then chartered to the Spanish company, Cie Trasatlantica who used her to repatriate Spanish troops. On 24 Sep 1899 she started the Bremen - Southampton - New York - Naples - Genoa service until commencing her last voyage on 28 Aug 1901, and in September of that year, she was scrapped at Genoa.
