It is the appearance of Heinrich Römer as godparent and namesake for
Conrad's son Heinrich than prompts the assumption that they were
brothers. While there were "naming customs," there is no proof that
these customs were precisely observed in the early 17th century.
Heinrich the godparent could just as well been Conrad's father,
grandparent of the child Heinrich.
