In the year of Christ 1845 on 27 Feb in Climbach about two in the afternoon, Balthasar Hilgärtner, citizen and farmer of Climbach, son of Kaspar Hilgärtner, citizen and farmer, also city counselor, of Climbach, and his wife Anna Margaretha neé Stein; age 24 years and 8 days; born 19 Feb 1821; and Louisa Helm, daughter of Johannes Helm, duchal schoolteacher (Großherzogliche Schullehres) of Bersrad Kreis Giessen, and his wife Margaretha neé Biedersteulf, age 21 years, 11 months and 9 days; born 18 March 1823. Witnesses: (1) Ducal mayor (Großherzogliche Bürgemeister) Johannes Jost Schmidt of Climbach; (2) Heinrich Stein, citizen and farmer also schoolteacher in Climbach.
Added note: Balthasar died 30 Aug 1859; Louisa died 11 May 1860.
