The article describes a visit made in 1916 by Thelma and her grandmother during the summer to visit Porter and "Aunt Meelie" Crump.
They rode their buggy from the Canmer area to the Wheeler farm located immediately across Green River from the Porter Crump farm. They would leave their buggy and horse with the Wheelers and yell for Porter Crump to pick them up in his boat. His home was at the edge of the bluff across the large river bottom land from Green River.
