28TH GENERATION

1898. Joseph DENTON was born on 9 May 1705. He died in 1744.

He was married to Elizabeth SMITH (daughter of ) on 14 Feb 1728. Elizabeth SMITH was born in 1710. Elizabeth Denton's will is dated Feb. 1, 1749 and leaves all moveable estate to four youngest children, Joseph, John, James and Elizabeth. "My executors are to hire out the house where I now live and the land until my eldest son, Samuel, is of age, and the money to be applied for the bringing up and schooling of my four youngest children. I make my brother, Benjamin Smith, and Robert Sutton, Robert Marvin, and John Hichs, executors. Witnesses: John Smith, Jonathan Rowland, Jacob Smith. Proved Feb. 23, 1749. Joseph DENTON and Elizabeth SMITH had the following children:
