1796. Elizabeth DENTON was born in 1683 in Hempstead, Long Island, Queens, Nassau County, New York. In the records of the Reformed Church of Tappan, Orange CO, NY (now Rockland) we find the baptism records of some of the children, namely Jaconiah, Jane, Eamie, Jonas, Elizabeth and Jonathan. The older children were evidently born before the family moved to Tappan and not included in the baptismal records.
She was
married to Jonathan SEAMAN II (son of Jonathan Seaman I)
in 1705 in New York. Jonathan SEAMAN II was born
in 1680. He died in 1755 in New Hempstead, LI, NY. The younger of Jonathan's
children were probably by another wife. Elizabeth DENTON and Jonathan SEAMAN
II had the following children:
