2551. Maj. Joel DENTON was born in 1792 in Shenandoah, VA. He died on 27 Jan 1863 in Scott CO, AR. Joel was commissioned a Captain in the 6th Regiment of the Tennnessee Militia on May 30, 1807 and on October 4, 1811 he was promoted to a Major while in Jefferson CO, TN. He participated in the war of 1812.

on 28 Jan 1812 in Jefferson County, Tennessee. Jane
ARMSTRONG was born in 1795. She died in 1840. Maj. Joel DENTON and Jane
