30TH GENERATION

2268. John BOXWELL was born in 1670 in Wootton Bassett, Wiltshire, England. He died after 1706 in Lingstown, County Wexford, Ireland. In 1707 John petitioned the Government in Dublin for Naval protection against French privateers who regularly took some of his cattle from the Saltee Islands. He estimated the value of the cattle at ¹50 and as an afterthought mentioned that his brother had also been taken and not seen again.

He was married to Elizabeth Dorothy HARVEY in 1700. Elizabeth Dorothy HARVEY was born in Bargy Castle, County Wexford, Ireland. John BOXWELL and Elizabeth Dorothy HARVEY had the following children:
