(258) He died in 1512. Lord of the Manor of Wraxall, he was created
a Knight of the Bath at the creation of Arthur, Prince of Wales (son of Henry
VII) in 1489; Sheriff of Somerset November 5, 1495. Thorne George states (p.
79):
"1485, Nov. 13th.--General pardon, and release to Edmund Gorges of Wroxhall
Co Somerset Esquire, alias of Framlyngham ad castrum Co Suffolk Esquire, of all
offences committed up to the present time, and from all penalities attaching
thereto." Anne HOWARD and Edmund Gorges had the following children:
