1086. Lord John Fitzalan
was born about 1348 in of Echingham, Sussex, England. He died on 15 Dec
1379 in Irish Sea. He was either poisoned or drowned in the Irish Sea. He was
buried in Priory, Lewes, Sussex, England. Lord Arundel and Lord Maltravers.
Marshal of England in 1377, he was in command of a naval expedition in aid to
the Duke of Brittany that defeated the French fleet off the coast of Cornwall.
His ship was wrecked and he drowned in the Irish Sea.

He was married to Eleanor Maltravers (daughter of
Sir John Maltravers VII and Wentliana) on 17 Feb 1357/58
in Salisbury, Wiltshire, England. Eleanor Maltravers
was born in 1345 in of Echingham, Sussex, England. She died on 10 Jan 1404/5
in bd. Priory, Lewes, Sussex, England. She was buried in Priory, Lewes, Sussex,
