Robert Wingfield was
born in 1403. He died in 1451. Knighted by Henry VI at Hereford on May 19,
1426; was steward of the lands of the Duke of Norfolk and attended the Duke on
an embassy to France in 1447. He was a member of Parliament for Suffolk in 1427
and for Hertfordshire in 1449. Elizabeth Goushill and Robert Wingfield had the
