612. William III TALVAS died on 30 Jun 1171. Compte of Alencon and Ponthieu,1106-1171. In June 1119 Henry I restored to him all of his father's lands in Normandy. He resigned Ponthieu to his son Guy 1126-1129, but retained his title of Count of Ponthieu. In 1135 Henry I confiscated his Norman lands, following which William joined Geoffrey Plantagenet with whom he invaded Normandy after the death of Henry I. (Complete Peerage, XI:697)
He was married to ELA BOREL of Burgundy (daughter
of EUDES I BOREL and MATILDA (Sibylle)
of BURGUNDY) about 1115. ELA BOREL of Burgundy died
