Born in Orange County, New York, probably in Chester on March 7, 1780 and died at Millburg, M ichigan on August 6, 1844. He married Mary Fenton who was born April 8, 1782, in 1801 (or 18 03) in Ontario County, New York. They settled in Ontario County, New York where they lived u ntil about 1818. He then moved to Crawford County, Ohio. He later moved about 1837 to a woo ded farm in Berrien County, Michigan, five miles west of St. Joseph. He lived here until hi s later days. Was a thrifty farmer. His wife Mary died on March 20, 1844. Children born i n Ontario County, except three youngest who were born in Crawford County.

He was married to Mary Fenton in 1801 in Orange, Ontario County, New York. He died of Dropsy.

Moved from Ontario County, New York in 1824 to Crawford County, Ohio. Established a home 5 m iles east of St. Joseph, Michigan in June 1837.
