Richard Mosher Gildersleeve, sixth son of Joseph (3) and Mary (Mosher) Gildersleeve, was a wa gon maker by trade. Learned trade in Clinton Corners, New York. Went to Brooklyn from Kings ton, New York, in 1883. He was for a number years, foreman of Robert Fernandez's carriage fa ctory; superintendent of Joseph Cabus's factory in New York City; his last four years he wa s employed by Frank Flagler, of Brooklyn. Married February 12, 1867, to Alice Ann Doughty, d aughter of Ira and Zillah Doughty, of Stanfordville, New York. Died in Brooklyn, April 25, 1 903; buried in the Christian Cemetery, Stanfordville, New York.

He was married to Alice Ann Doughty (daughter of ) on 12 Feb 1867. Richard Mosher Gildersleeve and Alice Ann Doughty had the following children:
