Update 1

Here are 2500 of my daughter's ancestors. Let me know if you have something to add or correct. I seek advice on researching Eastern European Jews. Ignore the three-digit code associated with my sources.

I know of 139 direct line immigrants who came between 1619 and 1902. Most (106) came from England and settled in MA and CT. The remaining 33 came from Scotland, Ireland, Isle of Man, Sweden, Germany, Austria, and Russia.

The 4 ancestors who owned slaves lived in MA or CT. One was a minister.

Typically, occupations were not recorded. Of the direct-line ancestors, I know of 35 farmers, 8 carpenters, 7 shoemakers, 5 weavers or wool makers, 5 physicians, 4 tavern keepers, 3 blacksmiths, 3 ministers, 2 ferryboatmen, 2 fishermen, 2 ranchers, 2 piano teachers, 2 painters, several clerks, several surveyors, 1 sculptor and 1 piano maker.

There are 39 direct line veterans: 14 from Indian wars, 12 in the Revolution, 1 in the War of 1812, 5 Union soldiers, 1 in WWI, and 1 in WWII.
